How It Started

Born From a Love of Baking.

Specks Vanilla was born from a deep love of cooking and baking, and a simple goal: to create an exceptionally flavorful vanilla extract at an affordable price.

After over three years in the baking world, we wanted a product that delivered pure, rich flavor without the high cost or unnecessary additives. We named it Specks in honor of the tiny black specks found in real vanilla beans that mark a sense of true quality and authenticity.

We carefully source our premium vanilla beans directly from trusted farms in Madagascar, known for producing the highest-quality beans in the world. Each bean is hand selected for its rich aroma, deep flavor, and beautiful specks, ensuring every batch meets our uncompromising standards.

Fermentation

We use a slow, five-week cold press fermentation process to naturally bring out the deep, rich flavor of our vanilla without using any heat or chemicals. This gentle method preserves the bean's full aroma and complexity, resulting in a pure, smooth extract you can taste in every drop.

Where It Begins

About 80% of the world's vanilla supply comes from Madagascar. The island's tropical climate, high humidity, and consistent rainfall create conditions for vanilla orchids that are hard to replicate anywhere else.

Our beans come from the Sava region in the northeast, where farms have been growing vanilla for generations. Vanilla orchids are hand-picked one by one, and the pods are cured for several months before they're ready to use.

That process produces a bean with a deep, complex flavor profile that sets Madagascar vanilla apart from varieties grown in other parts of the world.
